Save Together. Reach Goals Together.
Preaux Circles helps friends, families, coworkers, and communities organize savings together through simple, transparent rotating savings circles.
Just people pooling what they already save to help each other reach financial goals sooner.
01 — The concept
What is a Preaux Circle?
A Preaux Circle is an organized savings group where participants agree to contribute the same amount on a regular schedule. The combined contributions go to one member at a time, rotating through the group until every participant has received their scheduled payout.
The money comes from the participants themselves. No returns, no new money.
Small, predictable savings become larger scheduled moments.
Through organization, accountability, and mutual cooperation.
02 — A worked example
10 People. $100 Each. $1,000 at a Time.
Month 1 — Participant #1 receives $1,000. Month 2 — Participant #2 receives $1,000. This continues until Month 10, when every participant has received one $1,000 payout.
20 people contributing $50 every two weeks = a $1,000 rotating payout, approximately every two weeks.
Participants continue making their scheduled contributions even after receiving their own payout, until every member has had their turn.
03 — How it works
Eight steps, start to finish
Name your circle and set its ground rules.
Bring in people you already know and trust.
Agree on a contribution level and schedule.
Everyone sees who receives which round.
A live view of the current round.
Nobody has to chase anybody.
Know exactly when your turn arrives.
Completed contributions and payouts stay on record.
04 — Your budget
Choose what fits your budget
Start where you are. Choose a contribution level that comfortably fits your budget. Contribution amounts and frequency are chosen by each individual circle.
A gentle, low-pressure entry point for a tight-knit group.
A balanced pace favored by families and friend groups.
A common monthly target for coworkers and close circles.
For groups coordinating toward larger, planned moments.
05 — One, two, or three circles
Know Your Commitment Before You Join
Preaux adds up your active recurring savings commitments so you can see exactly how much you are agreeing to contribute before joining another circle. Three active circles is the absolute maximum, every circle is independent, and contributions owed to one circle cannot automatically be funded using a payout from another.
Joining multiple circles increases your financial commitment. Preaux is designed to discourage overcommitment — not encourage it, and shows warnings and commitment calculations before you join Circle #2 or Circle #3.
06 — Built-in safeguards
Structured to keep you protected
Participants cannot join a fourth active circle.
Before joining another circle, participants see their combined recurring financial commitment.
Each circle has its own membership, schedule, contribution records, and payout rotation.
Preaux does not automatically use a payout from one circle to satisfy obligations in another.
Participants can see contribution status, upcoming payouts, and completed rounds.
Receiving your payout does not eliminate your remaining scheduled contribution obligations.
Simple Savings. No Schemes.
Every savings circle begins with a defined group of participants, a defined contribution amount, and a defined payout schedule. The circle does not depend on continuously recruiting new members.
07 — V0.1 pilot
Your Money Stays Between Circle Members
During the Preaux Circles V0.1 pilot, Preaux coordinates the savings circle but does not receive or hold participant contributions. When a contribution is due, Preaux tells the participant who the scheduled recipient is, how much is due, and when it is due. Participants pay the scheduled recipient directly using an agreed-upon external electronic payment method, and Preaux then helps track and verify the contribution.
Preaux never asks participants to send their circle contributions to a Preaux operating account.
08 — Why use Preaux
One organized system
Traditional informal savings circles can depend on group text messages, spreadsheets, memory, cash, manual reminders, and one organizer tracking everything. Preaux brings it all into one place.
The technology doesn’t create the cooperation. The people create the cooperation. Preaux provides the structure that makes it easier to manage.
09 — Where a payout can go
Participants decide how to use their payout
Small Contributions. Meaningful Moments.
Choose what you can comfortably contribute. Save alongside people you trust. Know when your turn is coming. Let Preaux help organize the rest.
Just organized savings and mutual financial cooperation.
